Golden Threads Pasta Co. was born from my love of pasta — both making it and sharing it.
In the fall of 2024, I got my hands on a Philips Pasta Maker 7000 Series, and what started as a curiosity quickly turned into an obsession. I fell in love with the rhythm of making fresh pasta and the pursuit of mastering traditional Italian dishes. There’s something deeply satisfying about mixing simple ingredients into golden strands, ribbons, or curls — and even more satisfying when those end up on the plates of friends and family.
I love cooking for the people I care about — whether it’s inviting folks over for a comforting bowl of their favorite dish or handing off fresh pasta to-go. So far, my go-to dishes include a fiery penne all’arrabbiata, a rich and briny spaghetti alla puttanesca, and my ever-adaptable aglio e olio (which is always better with a little something extra). I mostly use fresh-milled semolina when I can, and always seek out the good stuff — like DOP San Marzano tomatoes straight from Italy.
The name Golden Threads Pasta Co. is both a tribute to the homemade pasta I love to make and a nod to the industrial history of my current hometown, Roebling, NJ — where golden threads of a different kind (steel cables) helped build the Brooklyn and Golden Gate Bridges.
As Federico Fellini once said, “Life is a combination of magic and pasta.” I couldn’t agree more.
What’s your favorite pasta dish?
