Ladies and Gentlemen, may I introduce to you the 2014 Spartan Race trifecta. Hard earned and well deserved.

Long-distance runner. Maker of art, pasta, and the in-between.
Bon vivant par excellence
Organizer of good things. Skeptical romantic. Needs pasta.
Today is my 39th birthday. If anyone wants to buy me a present check out my Amazon wishlist. Thank you in advance. Oh and I love you!
Not entirely happy with my 5k today. Was hoping for under 23 minutes but my official time was 23:07, 131st of 771 runners. A few months ago I suffered an MCL injury and this is only my second race since the injury (the other being last week). I guess I should be happy that I didn’t further injure it even though there is slight soreness. Here’s the digital certificate:
However, all runners were allowed free access to the beach after the race. I took advantage of that and a beautiful day to enjoy my lunch by the sea.
In the very beginning of Andy Kaufman Plays Carnegie Hall (1979) he said that he always told his grandmother that someday he will perform live at Carnegie Hall and when he does he will give her the best seat in the house. Before the show started he introduced his grandmother and told that story. She then took a seat on the actual stage and didn’t say a word but watched the entire show. The show consisted of his usual routines, Elvis impersonation, wrestling, Tony Clifton, etc. as well as a number of special guests. After the 2 hour show was over Andy began to thank all of his guests for performing and then he thanked his grandmother, Robin Williams. Robin Williams sat on the stage dressed as an old lady for the entire performance and not a single person at Carnegie Hall knew that. It was absolutely amazing. RIP Robin Wiliams. I hope that this is another one of Andy’s pranks. 🙁
Just installed WordPress on my server and am now using it as my blog instead of RapidWeaver. I was surprised how easy it was to import the old blog. I just imported the RSS feed. I lost my theme and I’m sure links to the RapidWeaver blog are no longer functional but so far it looks like it works! Great!
My father made me this great Uptown Gentlefriends (my race team) display for all of my race bibs and medals. It’s pretty damn sweet. Thanks dad!!!

Got this in my email yesterday from the Star Wars themed Bucks County Ten Miler, May the Fourth Be With You.
