Summary: Now before you all go crucify me due to the title, listen to what I have to say. First off, this anime is around 45 min. Second, there is no spoken dialog besides some gibberish. The reason why I refer to it as an art film is because it has very deep symbolism. Don't go by what the review on the DVD says, it is not 'Hello Kitty on acid!' It is, for the most part, depressing. Some parts are funny, and some are bloody. Anyway, it is about a family of kittens. One kitten, Nyaako, has a fever and is in limbo between life and death. Eventually, death comes and takes her away. Her little brother comes and takes a portion of Nyaako's soul away from death which basically makes her braindead, but alive. I don't want to spoil much, but I will point out several objects that are crucial to understanding this film: the orange flower, the metal butterfly, God, the mouse costume.
