Mercer County half marathon. It’s nice to know that I can eke out a half marathon with little training over a hot and humid summer. At around 2:11 it is my slowest road half marathon ever and almost 40 minutes slower than my course PR from just a few years ago. Still, I’m happy with that time for an event I had no business running and other than overheated I feel great. Looking forward to winter running, gotta get through another week in the mid 90’s first. Thank you to @beastcoastpro for putting on another fab event. See you in Hainesport. . . #instarunners #ultrarunning #marathontraining #trailrunning #runner #running #runningman #beatyesterday #garmin #strava #hokaoneone #altrarunning

Finished another race at the Fair. This was my 9th year and I finished with 204 miles. Far from a PR but better than I expected. I slept 6ish hours every night, sat around and spectated while avoiding the heat and sun every day and generally socialized instead of running. If there was an award for the slacker with the most miles I would be in the running for it. Through the years I’ve covered well over 1,500 miles and was rewarded with a brick celebrating that achievement.

I spent the first half of the year recovering from being sick over the winter but I still managed 1,515 total miles. I only ran in four races, 305.3 total race miles. A lot lower than in past years and didn’t get in any miles the last three weeks of the year due to an injury but I’m feeling better and the pace has improved. Most importantly I’ve volunteered and crewed at a few events this year and in turn helped dozens and dozens of folks reach their personal records and more. I’ve also attended more events and not only cheered on my friends but also motivated others. Personally, the Uptown Gentlefriends events that I’ve created were even more successful this year, record numbers at the Track Attack and Delaware River Loop Series as well fantastic new course Dash & Deciduous 5k that I designed. 2023 is going to be great and I’m looking forward to seeing even more runners go above and beyond!

14 races. 405 race miles. 3 PRs. 5 AG awards.
I started the year off very strong then mid April I developed a hip injury that stuck with me for the rest of the year. The injury slowed me down but I finished with another yearly mileage PR by almost 100 miles. The highlights this year include the first time winning an age group award at a major event (Pittsburgh 5k) and of course 3 Days at the Fair multi-day race is once again the most memorable event of the year for me. #running #trailrunning #ultrarunning #uptowngentlefriends #3datf #chicagomarathon #pittsburghmarathon via Instagram https://ift.tt/37awzlG

#chicagomarathon 4:10 finish. Far from my ideal finish time, much slower than my spring marathon and even more slower than the marathon this time last year. Regardless, I had a lot of fun and it was an incredible experience. So awesome! via Instagram https://ift.tt/2McgUe3
