A few months ago I shot this video of Erin during an Uptown Gentlefriends group run…

This year I’m even more low on funds than previous years so if anyone is feeling extra generous maybe you’d like to get me a new pair of running shoes or something. Thanks!
Parx Octoberfest 5k 2014
Did the Parx Octoberfest 5k this morning at the Parx Casino and Racing in Bensalem, PA. It was a great day. Air temperature was around 52 with a steady rain. The last mile of the course was originally to be on the mud track but was moved to the infield turf due to it being too muddy. I ran a PR at 21:21. I finished 10th overall and 1st in my age group. I won myself a little trophy and a $50 cash voucher. It was a great day!
2014 Spartan Race trifecta

Bradley Beach 5k 2014
Not entirely happy with my 5k today. Was hoping for under 23 minutes but my official time was 23:07, 131st of 771 runners. A few months ago I suffered an MCL injury and this is only my second race since the injury (the other being last week). I guess I should be happy that I didn’t further injure it even though there is slight soreness. Here’s the digital certificate:
However, all runners were allowed free access to the beach after the race. I took advantage of that and a beautiful day to enjoy my lunch by the sea.
R.I.P. Robin Williams
In the very beginning of Andy Kaufman Plays Carnegie Hall (1979) he said that he always told his grandmother that someday he will perform live at Carnegie Hall and when he does he will give her the best seat in the house. Before the show started he introduced his grandmother and told that story. She then took a seat on the actual stage and didn’t say a word but watched the entire show. The show consisted of his usual routines, Elvis impersonation, wrestling, Tony Clifton, etc. as well as a number of special guests. After the 2 hour show was over Andy began to thank all of his guests for performing and then he thanked his grandmother, Robin Williams. Robin Williams sat on the stage dressed as an old lady for the entire performance and not a single person at Carnegie Hall knew that. It was absolutely amazing. RIP Robin Wiliams. I hope that this is another one of Andy’s pranks. 🙁
Migrated blog to WordPress
Just installed WordPress on my server and am now using it as my blog instead of RapidWeaver. I was surprised how easy it was to import the old blog. I just imported the RSS feed. I lost my theme and I’m sure links to the RapidWeaver blog are no longer functional but so far it looks like it works! Great!
